What are the nice-to-have skills?

Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools Strong experience in providing ownership, management, design, development and support to OLTP systems. Ability to navigate and understand large complex database structures for sourcing data. Experience in Agile development environment.

Previous: At National Heritage Academies (NHA) the Database Engineer will be part of a high-performing team of software professionals responsible for building, supporting, and continuously improving myNHA - NHA s proprietary Student Information System. The selected individual will work out of our Service Center which is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This person will be solution-focused, quality-driven, and will contribute on a team of talented and dedicated individuals. After initial training and onboarding, remoted options are available.

This person will be a Database Engineer on one of three product teams supporting the myNHA platform. Ability to work remote, however, it is preferred that they are located in West Michigan. The team comes together at the Service Center for planning meetings every 10 weeks so candidates must be willing to come on-site during that time.
