Substation SCADA Lead

Job Description:

Position Summary:

• Lead the integration of substation automation and SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.
• Configure and validate Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and telemetry data.
• Manage grid interconnection testing and ensure successful commissioning.
• Coordinate with transmission operators and utility stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with utility requirements and LGIA (Large Generator Interconnection Agreement) protocols.
• Support project teams with technical expertise in SCADA architecture and substation communication standards.
• Document system configurations, test results, and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in substation SCADA systems and integration.
• Strong knowledge of RTU configuration, telemetry protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus), and grid interconnection processes.
• Familiarity with utility standards and LGIA compliance.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with renewable energy projects is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SCADA platforms such as GE, SEL, Siemens, or Schneider.
• Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and other regulatory standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
