Job Details

Job Title: Lead Oracle DBA
Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid Local or Relocation Candidates Preferred)
Type: Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Oracle DBA with a strong background in relational database management, cloud integration, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing database systems both on-premise and in cloud environments while guiding technical teams and ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of hands-on IT experience with a primary focus on relational database administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience mentoring or leading technical teams in a DBA or platform engineering capacity.
  • Proven experience managing databases across both on-premise and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, and Exadata platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native databases like Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL solutions.
  • Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark is a plus.
  • Skilled in scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid setup with occasional on-site collaboration.
  • Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Willingness to support after-hours deployments and incident resolutions as needed.
