Overview:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their growing team and play a pivotal role in modernizing their cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation. This position is critical to the evolution of their technical environment, especially as they transition away from reliance on third-party vendors and bring key capabilities in-house.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping the client scale, iterate, and align with industry best practices. You'll work across both legacy and modern systems, supporting the transformation of their core excise tax application-built for remote access-into a more agile, cloud-native architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Collaborate in sprint planning and technical scoping to ensure DevOps initiatives align with business goals.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and PowerShell to manage hybrid environments.
  • Design and maintain secure, automated deployment workflows for APIs.
  • Document infrastructure processes, scripts, and configuration standards.
  • Develop and implement backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies for mission-critical systems.
  • Support the creation and execution of unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot build and deployment issues in collaboration with development teams.
  • Assist in transitioning legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures.
  • Manage Azure cloud operations including provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.

Required Skills:

  • CI/CD best practices (including rollbacks, gateway, and release strategies)
  • Terraform, PowerShell, and Jenkins for scripting and automation
  • Azure cloud infrastructure and operations
  • DevOps methodologies and tooling
  • Experience with React and Node.js is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, or SOC
  • Strong background in cloud-native architecture and legacy system modernization
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

Experience Level:

Expert Level - This role requires a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
