Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced StarLIMS Developer / Support Analyst for a 12-month contract role. This position is ideal for candidates who are local to Arizona or in the Desert Southwest, closely aligned with the Arizona time zone. The role involves up to 25% travel to Phoenix and various mining locations as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, configuration, and support of StarLIMS applications to meet specific laboratory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and configure StarLIMS applications and modules to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Customize StarLIMS to align with specific laboratory operational requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts, reports, and workflows within the StarLIMS environment.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for StarLIMS users, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel and IT teams to gather user requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure the stability and functionality of StarLIMS applications.
  • Document all configurations and changes made to systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Train end-users on new systems and applications, providing support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a StarLIMS Developer or similar role in LIMS development and support.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory processes and requirements with the ability to customize LIMS accordingly.
  • Experience with scripting languages and the ability to write and debug scripts in StarLIMS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to various locations as required by the project needs.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and changing environment.


Pay Range: $60.00 - $65.00 hourly

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
