Staff Software QA Engineer, Digital Experience

Tesla's Digital Experience team is expanding globally while launching innovative products and programs. As a Software QA Engineer, you will test web and mobile applications, enhance existing systems by building automation solutions, and collaborate with Software and Product Engineers to drive software improvements. Your work will ensure Tesla's cutting-edge UI/UX meets rigorous quality standards for customers worldwide. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll bridge rapid development cycles with thorough validation processes and contribute to automation frameworks critical to Tesla's software delivery pipeline. Responsibilities

• Conduct both functional and automated web and mobile testing; End-to-End integration testing is a must
• Develop and execute an automation planning and scripting strategy
• Design and develop reusable test frameworks for both UI and API testing; Emphasis is placed on reusability and maintainability of test scripts, which is crucial for long-term efficiency
• Manage the integration of automated test scripts with a test management tool indicates a focus on efficient test management and reporting
• Analyze and solve complex problems and motivate team members to produce creative solutions
• Collaborate in the overall automation effort, influence priorities, assist team members, and work closely with different teams and stakeholders
• Set up and maintain pipelines for test execution demonstrates a commitment to automation efficiency and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices

Requirements

• Experience in software testing, automation scripting (Selenium Web driver, Playwright, Cypress, JMeter, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Passion for problem-solving, electric vehicles, and delivering exceptional user experiences
• Experience performing UI Testing, covering cross-browser, accesibility, internationalization, performance and security
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders
• Ability to adapt to new technologies like AI(LLMs) and stay updated with industry trends

Expected Compensation

$128,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
