As WMC enters its "Era of Measurement", the Manager, Data Analytics - Insight Support role will drive data transparency on the growth and development of our Ad product through expedited extraction of insights. In partnership with our Insights team, this role will serve as the data analytics authority to Directors on high-visibility projects, and reports into centralized Business Analysis team within Business Operations.
What you'll do...
Serve as a data-driven thought partner to our subject matter leads on the Insight team as well as all other cross-functional teams that help support the growth of Walmart's ads business. Deliverables include supporting business reviews end to end, deep dive analyses, dashboards, automated reports, ad hoc analyses
Act as the data analytics owner on performance, supporting detailed data-centric analyses on daily/weekly/monthly performance while identifying key underlying drivers across different product groups
Build dashboards, scorecards and automate weekly business review slides to use in weekly/monthly business reviews
Track key input and output metrics of the business, that will serve as the backbone of recurring reporting rhythms, to expediate insight extraction. Help quantify the opportunities, risks and other success metrics related to all aspects of our ads.
Generate data-driven insights using a combination of hypothesis-first approach, statistics and other technical data languages (e.g. SQL, DAX for PowerBI) to manipulate data from disparate data sets across the larger ecomm environment and to identify patterns
Conduct regular and ad hoc analyses, address data questions, provide data narrative in business reviews and presentations with cross functional stakeholders, with a focus on the integrity and accuracy for the data.
Deliver in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in economics, business or STEM and 3-5 years relevant work experience.
Previous data analytics experience and familiarity with complex data sets is preferred, along with ability to interpret and manipulate data to identify patterns. Media & Advertising, eCommerce, CPG/retail background a plus.
Proficiency in SQL and Excel with proven records. Familiarity with R and Python
Proficiency in visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to align business requirements, manage prioritization, and meet deadlines, etc.
Possesses strong critical thinking skills, business acumen, and strong attentiveness to details with the ability to quickly identify and or correct irregularities.
