Principal Data Engineer - 2291805
EMPLOYER: Optum Services, Inc.
JOB TITLE: Principal Data Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle Eden Prairie, MN 55344
DUTIES: Manage multi-Terabyte Oracle Exadata and ODA environments that contain public and private health care claims and encounter data from insurance carriers, health plans, third-party administrators, pharmacy benefit managers, Medicaid and Medicare. Install, upgrade and patch Oracle databases so that environments remain current. Automate database administration tasks. Assist users with both basic SQL questions and sophisticated SQL tuning strategies. Test backup and recovery scenarios, as well as formulate disaster recovery procedures. Use Enterprise Manager and other tools for availability and performance monitoring. Analyze database resource consumption, for problem avoidance and trend forecasting. Work closely with Security Auditors to remediate regular penetration test findings. Collaborate with engineers in support of SSO authentication requirements. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Engineering-related occupation. Position requires 2 Years of experience in the following:
Oracle RDBMS, SQL and PLSQL
Unix/Linux knowledge including Shell scripting
ASM and RMAN
Snowflake and Azure
Tableau
State Medicaid Data Warehouse or Medicaid Management Information Systems
Informatica tuning
