Job Title: SAP Techno-Functional Project Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Casa Grande) Work From Office, 5 days/week
Position Overview
- We are seeking a seasoned SAP Techno-Functional Project Manager with 15+ years of comprehensive SAP experience across all major SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, WM, HCM, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a balanced 50% technical and 50% functional expertise, coupled with proven leadership skills in delivering large, complex SAP implementations, upgrades, and integration projects.
- You will be responsible for end-to-end project ownership, stakeholder management, and hands-on configuration/customization when required. This is a key onsite role that requires close collaboration with cross-functional business teams and technical delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full life-cycle SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and support projects.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on configuration and customization across SAP modules as needed.
- Oversee integration between SAP modules and with non-SAP systems.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets effectively.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops, prepare functional/technical specifications, and ensure quality delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deploy SAP solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members, ensuring best practices in SAP solution delivery.
- Drive performance tuning, system optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and security standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of overall SAP experience with exposure to all major SAP modules in career.
- Balanced expertise 50% technical (ABAP, SAP technical architecture, integrations, custom developments) and 50% functional (configuration, process mapping, solution design).
- Strong knowledge of S/4HANA and ECC environments.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale SAP programs/projects in diverse industries.
- Hands-on experience in system upgrades, migrations, and integrations with 3rd-party applications.
- Strong understanding of SAP best practices, ASAP/Activate methodology, and project management frameworks (Agile/Waterfall).
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Preferred: SAP certification(s) in multiple modules; PMP or equivalent certification.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- SAP and Project Management certifications are a plus.
