Telecommunications Coordinator

TEKsystems is seeking a Telecommunication Coordinator to support telecom engineering initiatives for a major utility provider in Hawaii. This role is essential in managing project execution through coordination, scheduling, and administrative support. Candidates must have experience in project coordination and a solid understanding of telecommunications terminology. Responsibilities

• Coordinate telecom engineering projects across islands, including scheduling, site readiness, and material delivery.
• Organize and lead project kick-off meetings with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Confirm delivery of materials and update SAP records.
• Route Bills of Materials (BOMs) for quotes, internal requests, and purchase orders.
• Distribute engineering drawings for printing and delivery.
• Submit required documentation (LHOs, Holdoffs) and notify NOSC of upcoming work.
• Arrange outage windows, safety training, and substation entry for contractors.
• Travel to outer islands to support project execution.
• Assist engineers with dashboards, forecasts, and accrual reports.
• Pull data for planning and kickoff tracking.
• Set up projects and work orders in SAP; generate service invoice entries (SES).
• Occasionally update internal systems (UI).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in telecommunications.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Excellent communication across diverse teams.
• Understand of telecom equipment, operations, and terminology.
• Familiarity with reporting, project plans, and implementation processes.
• Must be able to work in-office and travel inter-island as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $39.00/hr.
