Software Engineer - Associate Level - Dallas

We are seeking a talented individual to join Goldman Sachs Full Time as a Software Engineer at the Associate level on the CSG Mortgages and Structured Products team in Dallas.

The Capital Solutions Group (CSG) is a dynamic and rapidly growing division within Goldman Sachs, created to deliver comprehensive financing, origination, structuring, and risk management solutions to corporate and investor clients. CSG is at the forefront of adopting cutting-edge technologies to solve complex business challenges, particularly in the realm of alternative investments and private credit. As part of the "One Goldman Sachs" initiative, CSG leverages the firm's market-leading advisory franchise and deep origination business to provide seamless, connected, and comprehensive coverage to our private equity and private credit clients, while offering the best possible suite of financing options to our issuing clients.

CSG Mortgages and Structured Products Team

The Mortgages and Structured Products Engineering team supports multiple lending businesses throughout CSG. The Engineering team is responsible for:

o Architecting and building portfolio management, risk reporting, artificial intelligence and data analytics platform for the lending businesses

o Supporting BAU activities for the mentioned lending businesses and structured credit trading businesses

As these businesses continue to rapidly expand, continuous investment from engineering is required to support revenue growth, reduce risk, meet regulatory obligations, and increase client satisfaction.

We are looking for talented software developers to join our engineering team who want to use their skills to solve the most challenging and pressing engineering problems for our clients. This includes the building of massively scalable software and system and providing financial engineering to continuously turn data into action.

Basic qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience

Excellent programming skills in a major programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript and are comfortable learning new languages

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of functional programming, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance

Experience with clean code and automated testing methodologies (like Cucumber, Gatling)

Comfortable with technical ownership, managing multiple stakeholders, and working as part of a global team

Experience designing scalable and reliable systems with a focus on RESTful APIs and multithreading.

Strong knowledge of SDLC build tools and shift-left DevOps methodologies (Gitlab, Maven, NPM, etc)

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with MongoDB Db, MemSQL is a plus

Demonstrate front end design aesthetics with focus on User Experience

Experience with Gitlab CI/CD

Experience in designing, and developing applications from the ground up
