Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.
In this important role, you will support Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). SSP's mission is the development and sustainment of Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) and safeguarding the Polaris Sales Agreement, a special relationship between the U.S. and the United Kingdom (UK). You'll assist in achieving SSP's mission by providing training technology expertise in support of the Navy Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM).
The
Maintenance Technician II (MTII) , in coordination with Trident Training Facility (TTF) military leadership, will supervise/conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) and Attack Weapons System (AWS) hardware labs. The
MT II will complete all assigned Preventive Maintenance Management Plan (PMMP) maintenance tasking, utilizing approved documentation as well as abiding by all prescribed safety and security requirements.
Responsibilities - Coordinate with TTF supervisory personnel to determine equipment availability.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SWS AWS hardware labs at the TTF.
- Perform gauge calibration in the hardware labs.
- Complete lockout/tag outs IAW prescribed procedures as applicable.
- Utilize the Maintenance Application (MA) suite to manage, schedule, track, and record maintenance completed.
- Review and route Trouble Failure Reports (TFR) as applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 4+ years of experience related to SWS or AWS maintenance or similar military technical experience
- Experience using SWS/AWS MA software suite
- Graduate of A-652-0240 (Shipboard Gauge Calibration course) or equivalent
- DoD Secret clearance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM) requirements and ability to complete Wire Removal and Replacement Forms. Knowledge of the Naval Ships Technical Manual (NSTM) Chapter 300 Maintenance requirements
- Proven work experience in SWS and AWS support systems maintenance.
- Ability to effectively complete TFRs using the MA software suite.
- Ability to write, proofread, route, and utilize local procedures if necessary.
- Strong written and verbal English grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, and pronunciation
- Ability to use Microsoft Word:
- Basic text formatting functions, tables, bullets, numbering, hanging indents, inserting graphics, tracking changes, and accepting comments and changes
- Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint:
- Basic text formatting, tables, master layouts, text and title placeholders, and entering slide notes
- Graphic design features to create screen layouts
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook email and calendar:
- Send, receive, and file email
- Create and accept calendar appointments and invitations
- Ability to maintain and access
