Application Security Consultant---Need locals of VA

Role: Application Security Consultant

Location: Reston, VA (Need locals to Reston, VA)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Application Security Advisor with a solid background in software development and a strong passion for secure coding practices. This individual will be responsible for interpreting and triaging scan results from our automated pipelines and working closely with developers to ensure vulnerabilities are identified, communicated, and remediated in alignment with Fannie Mae's security governance processes.

Required Skills:

• Strong application security knowledge.
• Hands-on coding experience in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, etc.).
• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and container/infrastructure scanning tools (specific tools are proprietary, but general experience is sufficient).
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and security integration.
• Ability to analyze vulnerability scan reports and prioritize issues based on severity.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with development teams.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to internal tools and processes.
