Job Details
Key responsibilities of an electrical engineer include:
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Designs, tests, and determines fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
- Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
- Ensures that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Maintains regular study habits by frequently reviewing emerging technologies that improve the design, development, and testing of software programming and applications and applies technologies learned
- Provides leadership and guidance in technical area of specialization.
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in EDA tools
- Proficient skills with analog/digital circuit design.
- Lead DFMEA process.
- Proficient in functional safety analysis.
- Has leadership skills in coaching mentoring and guiding other engineers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with ALTIUM designer or equivalent
- Experience/understanding of circuit design.
- Experienced and proficient in the use of test tools such as Ocilloscopes, Logic analyzer, etc.
