Job Title: SAS Developer
Location: Princeton, NJ (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SAS Developer to join our data analytics and reporting team in Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAS programming and data manipulation, along with experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or financial services. This role involves working with large datasets, generating statistical reports, and supporting end-to-end data processing and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with business analysts, statisticians, and data scientists to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance checks.
- Optimize SAS code for performance and scalability.
- Generate statistical summaries, dashboards, and customized reports as needed.
- Support ad hoc data analysis and reporting requests.
- Document all programs and maintain version control as per company standards.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external data privacy and security regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS/SQL).
- Strong understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Experience with clinical trials (CDISC standards like SDTM/ADaM) or financial datasets is a plus.
- Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting using SAS.
- Familiarity with Excel, SQL, and tools like Python or R is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAS certification (Base or Advanced).
- Experience working in a regulated environment (pharma, insurance, healthcare).
- Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAS Visual Analytics.
