Job Title: TIBCO Spotfire Consultant

Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 18 Months (Contract or Contract-to-Hire)
Client: Birlasoft (Implementation Partner)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced TIBCO Spotfire Consultant to join our team for a long-term project with our implementation partner, Birlasoft. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Spotfire dashboards, along with solid data modeling and SQL skills.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to deliver actionable insights through effective visual analytics and optimized data pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using TIBCO Spotfire.

  • Perform data modeling, transformation, and integration from multiple data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, etc.).

  • Create and optimize IronPython scripts, expressions, and calculated columns to enhance dashboard interactivity.

  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

  • Implement performance tuning and data optimization techniques for faster dashboard load times.

  • Develop and manage Spotfire automation services and data functions (R/TERR/Python).

  • Support deployment, testing, and maintenance of Spotfire reports in production environments.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide end-user support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in TIBCO Spotfire development and administration.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.

  • Experience with IronPython scripting, custom expressions, and Spotfire automation services.

  • Knowledge of data integration tools and working with large, complex datasets.

  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Python/R integration in Spotfire.

  • Exposure to cloud-based data sources (AWS, Azure, or Snowflake).

  • Prior experience working in an Agile environment.
