Manufacturing Coordinator
6+ months extendable contract
Description:
The Manufacturing Coordinator position is responsible for supporting daily production operations. This position is responsible for issuing and tracking production orders, coordinating material and resource needs, maintaining accurate documentation, and facilitating communication between cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery of products. This role assists the Production Leadership team and coordinates activities as part of a centralized and consistent approach to incorporate quality into the Manufacturing Department. The result of the position is to assure that all Production activities are carried out in compliance with applicable government regulations and guidelines as well as with company policies and procedures
Essential Functions
- Issue, track, and close production work orders in the ERP system needed to adhere to the Production plan.
- Create rework orders needed for continuation of production
- Print In-house product labels and supplemental labels.
- Create and maintain Kanban system for the ordering of supplies and maintaining inventory for manufacturing consumables.
- Initiate and facilitate standard operating procedure (SOP) changes.
- Perform NCMR, Deviation, Action Item, etc. activities within MasterControl.
- Author and assist in non-conformance investigations, deviations, CAPA, etc.
- Coordinate with production supervisors, quality, and supply chain to ensure materials, tooling, and resources are available for scheduled jobs.
- Create, track, and maintain department metrics.
- Monitor daily production schedules and assist in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Participate in daily production meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with cGMP, ISO 13485, and company safety guidelines.
- Ability to work scheduled or expanded shifts, holidays and/or off-shift duties, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience / Skills:
- Associate degree in business, operations, technical or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably medical devices.
- 2+ years SAP experience or other ERP system.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows, materials management, and work order processing.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years SAP experience or other ERP system.
Six Sigma Green belt
Organizational Relationship/Scope:
This role will require cross-functional relationships with the Supply Chain team as well as the Engineering group as required.
