SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. (SBG), a DSS, Inc. company, offers Systems Engineering, Enterprise Modernization, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and IT Governance innovation to Federal and commercial clients nationwide. We are looking for an experienced VP, Growth to join our team. The ideal candidate for the position is an experienced individual with the ability to excel in a challenging, fast-paced government contractor environment. There is some flexibility for hybrid/remote work, but the selected candidate s primary office location will be our office in Alexandria, VA.

OVERVIEW

The individual selected will be responsible for growing SBG s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Defense (with focus on Navy and US Space Force), the Intelligence Community and other federal sectors.. The selectee will lead and oversee the identification, qualification, capture, bid and the winning of new business, while growing existing accounts with a focus on the VA. The individual will develop and lead the growing of the pipeline of opportunities using SBG s Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) prime contract vehicles and others. The VP, Growth will oversee the SBG growth team. This team includes Business Development, Capture, Solution Architect, Pricing, Staffing, and Proposal Management resources. In collaboration with SBG Leadership, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), Program Managers as well as our partners, the VP, Growth will work to capture high-value and strategic contracts. The chosen candidate should possess a robust understanding of the Federal Contracting environment with a focus on Healthcare Solutions and a strong network of contacts within relevant agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain strategies and growth plans aligned with SBG s long-term business strategy with emphasis on the Federal healthcare marketplace but also including Department of Defense and Intelligence community market opportunities.
  • Implement, maintain, and oversee effective and flexible business pursuit, capture, and bid/proposal processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and vendors to define strategic IT direction, focused solutions, and implementation strategies for technologies in the healthcare arena and other Federal sectors.
  • Lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of high-value and strategic prospects such as IDIQs, Business Partner Agreements (BPAs), and single-award opportunities that are directly relevant to SBG s business, technical capabilities and strategic growth plan.
  • Develop and maintain a single authoritative pipeline repository of opportunities targeted for near-, mid-, and long-term capture and growth. Implement frequent reviews with executive leadership and key program leaders to evaluate pursuit progress, competitive assessments, partnership strategy, and risks.
  • Build and foster relationships and partnership strategies with decision makers and influencers in various Federal health agencies, including VA, DHA and HHS.
  • Help to develop and review win themes, discriminators, management and technical approaches, past performance citations, and teaming strategies.
  • Support analyses, estimations, and strategy development for high visibility procurements while ensuring full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Design, develop, and prepare cost models, price-to-win analyses, and cost narratives for proposals.
  • Prepare competitive analyses, market trends, and forecasts across the healthcare market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of BD and Capture experience supporting medium to large IT companies.
  • Extensive relationships with private vendors serving the commercial and Government healthcare sectors.
  • Experience shaping opportunities, staging pursuit activities, and developing capture strategies for winning medium to large strategic opportunities within the Federal and commercial healthcare markets.
  • Firm understanding of the Federal Government procurement lifecycle.
  • High-level technical knowledge of clinical healthcare and benefits initiatives, systems, and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Open Source solutions is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills as well as writing skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Team player and results-oriented professional.
  • Possess the highest standards of Integrity and Character.
  • Must possess or have ability to obtain Public Trust and/or active DoD security clearance.
