Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vulnerability & Configuration Management Engineer to lead the evaluation of system performance, conduct risk assessments, analyze performance metrics, and direct high-impact short- and long-term projects. This role is critical to ensuring the security and resilience of our technology infrastructure across multiple platforms and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Identification & Remediation Manage the engineering of vulnerability and configuration management processes, focusing on risk identification and remediation.

  • Tool Expertise Utilize platforms such as Tenable (on-prem and cloud). Experience with Qualys, Rapid7, and risk analysis tools is a strong plus.

  • Strategic Oversight Lead the development and implementation of new elements within the vulnerability and configuration management technology strategy across various accounts.

  • Performance Optimization Evaluate system performance results and metrics. Develop and execute action plans to improve technology performance and mitigate risks.

  • Technology Integration Support API integrations with platforms such as ServiceNow, JIRA, and other enterprise tools to streamline vulnerability management workflows.

  • Documentation & Process Improvement Create and maintain operational documentation including runbooks, playbooks, and SOPs for vulnerability scanning and remediation.

  • Problem Management Provide technical direction for problem management processes. Assess and evaluate system anomalies to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in vulnerability and configuration management

  • Strong understanding of Tenable and other scanning platforms

  • Familiarity with risk analysis tools and performance metrics

  • Experience with API integrations and enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage high-visibility projects with cross-functional team
