Advantage Technical | Material Control Technician | Boston, MA Area

Join a dynamic team as a Material Control Technician in the Boston, MA area! We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to support our material control room and kitting room operations. Qualifications


  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing operator role with warehouse knowledge; material handling experience not required.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/AX, SAP, or willingness to learn SAP Materials Management.

    • Proficiency in MS Office and business software.

    • At least 1 year in warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing support preferred.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

    • Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

    • Forklift experience (stand-up/sit-down) is a plus.

    • Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.

    • Proficient in English for reading documentation and effective communication.

    • Dependable, collaborative, and positive attitude.




Position Overview


  • Directly responsible for material control room operations under supervision.

  • Perform both physical and administrative tasks in the kitting room.

  • Ensure timely and accurate issuance and delivery of materials for production.

  • Maintain proper workflow in the material control room to meet production demands.

  • Follow all standard operating procedures, including FDA and cGMP requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate computers, software (including ERP systems like SAP), and printers as trained.

  • Deliver raw materials to Cleanroom cells and ensure adequate replenishment.

  • Meet or exceed production efficiency standards and respond promptly to radio requests.

  • Perform accurate and timely ERP transactions for all material movements.

  • Maintain clean, orderly work areas and equipment.

  • Safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material transport equipment (training provided).

  • Prepare silicone mixtures and siliconize raw materials as needed.

  • Complete end-of-shift cleanup: empty trash, box trays, clean workstations, and remove pallets.

  • Communicate detailed end-of-shift reports to incoming shifts.

  • Use manual pallet jacks for material movement.


Shift Options


  • 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM | $24.29 per hour

  • 3rd Shift | 10 PM - 6:30 AM | $25.40 per hour

  • Flexibility is required for shift adjustments based on business needs
