Job Details

We are looking for a Sr. Product Owner with retail/fuel industry experience. This is a full-time direct hire position in Raleigh, North Carolina with our client. No visa sponsorship is available at this time or in future for this position. You can work 100% remote for this position. In this role as a Sr. Product Owner, you will be responsible to create products, understand markets and know how to turn that into actionable requirements for a development team. You also will be the project evangelist within the company, helping our employees and our customers see the value it brings.

Responsibilities for a Sr. Product Owner:

  • Manage product roadmap

  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria

  • Manage, prioritize, and groom product backlog

  • Continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks

  • Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization

  • Consult with various departments to define optimal customer experience as well as optimal internal experience (e.g. install, deployment, support, monitoring, technical debt, documentation)

  • Collect product feedback and incorporate into future releases

  • Assist with product demos

  • Serve as product subject matter expert

  • Assist with developing training plans

  • Assist technical writers with developing documentation

  • Assist QA with test case development

Required skills as a Sr. Product Owner:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager working in the retail/ fuel industry, POS experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Verified ability to organize work independently and efficiently; demonstrated Self-motivation, excellent Time Management

  • Available for travel, as needed, up to 10%

  • Office Skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Project Management tools, Visio)

  • Retail Process Knowledge (Retail Experience)

  • Knowledge of POS / ERP products

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
