Sr. Emerging Technology Manager

SUMMARY:
The Senior Emerging Technology Manager, under the direct supervision of the Emerging Technology Operations Manager, manages a portfolio of information technology projects from concept to deployment. This role is responsible for researching, recommending, developing, and implementation technology solutions - including software and hardware - to support the needs to internal and external business units.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with business leaders, internal experts, and external teams to analyze and define requirements, research options, recommend solutions, lead in RFP/selection process, and develop and implement technical solutions to address business needs.
- Develops a deep understanding of business functions across its family of companies and integrates this knowledge into solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of business customers.
- Manage information technology projects and interdisciplinary project teams, creating detailed project plans with milestones and timelines. Coordinates internal and external resources, oversees all aspects of project execution, and ensures successful delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Creates comprehensive technical and end-user documentation to support and operationalize projects. Conducts training and in-service sessions to transition ongoing operations to IT team members and end users.
- Provides Tier 3 support for operationalized solutions and assists IT team members with resolution and maintenance.
- Maintains programming, data reporting, analytics, and other project-related solutions until transitioned to different teams, and as requested.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for ongoing projects and deployed solutions.
- Communicates regular project updates to supervisor, IT team members, and external customers and partners as appropriate.
- Serves as a lead and mentor to Jr. Emerging Technology Managers, providing guidance or delegation for projects and initiatives.
- Manages vendor relationships, including negotiating agreements, overseeing deliverables, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Frequent travel (approximately 30-40%) may be required within California to locations to support in-person implementation, training, and services as needed by the team.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology, Engineering, or Information Systems, or Associates Degree plus 5 years of related work experience or
- 5-7+ years of expeirnece experience with technical business analysis, IT project management, technology research and development, application implementation, solution implementation, and vendor management experience.
- Proven track record of developing, implementing, and managing innovative solutions and emerging technologies, including developing and maintaining comprehensive technical & business documentation to support solutions implementations & "go-live", ensure knowledge transfer, and drive end-user adoption
- 2 years of experience working in a leadership position managing technical resources
- Demonstrate skills with learning management systems, portals, CRM systems, financial, billing, and clinical systems, as well as
- Ability to perform basic programming, develop BI dashboards, and business objects, and
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and reporting systems, including SQL reporting tools, database design, and management
- Well-verse with API integrations and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure)
- Excellent oral and written communication, collaboration and team-building skills.
- Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction, problem identification, and resolution.
- Excellent organizational, time management and priority-setting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to define, develop, and analyze performance measures and metrics; exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and lead their successful implementation.
- Demonstrate skills in project plan design and implementation, directing projects, coordinating the work of operational teams, and managing project budgets.
- Ability to effectively manage project deadlines and escalate issues as appropriate.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expeirnece working in a technical role in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with application development using .NET and JavaScript programming
