Description
SAIC is looking for a candidate to perform duties as an Engineering Technician in support of the Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) program. This position will be on-site at Holloman, AFB, NM.
Job Description:
- Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned.
- May perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE.
- May be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications and zero (0) years of experience; or 4-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior military experience with the assembly, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout of electronic equipment desired, not required.
- Prior experience with maintaining, troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles and specifically the MRAP variants.
- Experienced electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
- Practical experience to include performing one or a combination of the following duties: assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting; performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests; operating and adjusting simple test equipment; records test data; and gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.; performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plotting data and draws simple curves and graphs.
