Description
Windows 11 migration and is seeking a skilled and customer-focused technician to assist with upgrading approximately 230 remaining devices. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth transition for end users and maintaining operational continuity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy pre-configured Windows 11 images to end-user devices (target: 5+ machines per day).
Perform post-imaging configurations including:
Connecting to corporate Wi-Fi networks
Installing and configuring printers
Setting up email, PDF tools, and other business-critical applications
Collaborate directly with end users to ensure their new devices are fully operational and personalized to their needs.
Conduct follow-up support calls (via phone or Microsoft Teams) to resolve any post-migration issues.
Document completed work and update tickets using the Halo ITSM platform.
Troubleshoot general Windows 11 issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
Technical Environment:
Microsoft-centric infrastructure
Windows 11 deployment using a standardized image
Halo for ticketing and task tracking
Mix of desktop and laptop hardware
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Windows OS deployments and imaging
Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and device configuration
Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 10/11 environments
Experience with printers, Wi-Fi setup, and common business applications
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ideally, this will need to be completed by November and this person is also responsible for working with the users to ensure their old devices are shipped back and returned. They will work in a room with about 50 machines at a time and as they are shipped out, Tropical will order more devices to be imaged.
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Autopilot, or SCCM
Prior use of Halo or similar ITSM platforms
A+ or Microsoft certifications (optional but a plus)

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
