Description:

Our client is looking for a Systems Architect that assists with the design and development of current internal business systems, working with the Lead. The contractor will implement, support, maintain and enhance the System that is in the process of being implemented.

The client is recruiting for two IT consultants to build out 3-person team. One position will have a primary focus on supporting Delphi v. 2007 production platform which would include support of end-user clients (highway department office staff). The other position would have a primary focus on development of upgraded application using Delphi 2011. However, each individual within this 3-person team will be expected to provide ancillary support and coverage for one another across the different functional areas.

Tasks:

  • Possesses experience in software design and development with a focus on the integration of internal business systems across multiple functional areas, notably finance/accounting, financial transaction processing, supply chain transaction processing, etc.
  • Work with general supervision and priorities will be coordinated & approved
  • Possesses experience in design and integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure. Designs IT infrastructure components and architecture.
  • Experience with design and development of custom modules/solutions and the integration of these components with packaged solutions.
  • Proven methodology experience for complex systems integration projects and demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Work on team to upgrade the client's system from Delphi 2007 to 2011
  • Participation in virtual State-wide meetings to support and enhance the client's system
  • Software and system enhancements to the existing Oracle version 19c database
  • Import/export integration programs to transfer data in and out of the client system
  • Release management for periodic software releases

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Will have an extensive background in software analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
  • Will have a broad range of networking infrastructure knowledge and experience.
  • Great communication skills, problem solver attitude, and the ability to work independently are required.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years - Experience with Delphi programming experience using RAD Studio 2007+ and/or 2011
  • 5+ years - Experience with SQL/PL SQL
  • 5+ years - Experience with SQL Developer
  • 5+ years - Experience with GitHub
  • Experience with Object-orient programming languages using Virtual Component Library (VCL)
  • Experience with MS Windows 11 Enterprise
  • Experience with Windows Server 2015+

Skills Desired:

  • Experience with Financials applications/suppose
  • Third-party data access software packages such as ASTA or RemObjects' Data Abstract
  • Oracle development experience building triggers and/or packages
  • Experience with Oracle RDBMS
  • Experience with Oracle DB Admin Tools, Enterprise Manager
  • Experience with Design & Code walkthroughs
  • Experience with the implementation of security software package (e.g. OKTA or other) that integrated with Delphi application
