Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks. Candidate must be an experienced infrastructure engineer to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and implement DR-Compliant Infrastructure using Terraform
Package and deploy containerized applications using Helm and Docker into Kubernetes clusters
Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud resources (compute, storage, networking).
Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, apply patches, and ensure secure DevSecOps practices
Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to align architecture with enterprise security and availability standards.
Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to define platform strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Design and implement cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and ensure seamless integration with internal systems and applications.
Ensure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices are followed to ensure consistency and repeatability in deployments.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate platform solutions with automated deployment pipelines and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for platform architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Work closely with other engineering teams (DevOps, software, network, security) to align platform solutions with application and infrastructure needs.
Participate in DR drills, validating failover/failback procedures, RTO, and RPO objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands on experience with Terraform and IAC based provisioning
Proficiency with Helm for Kubernetes based application deployments
Experience integrating secure and resilient CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of container orchestration and DR principles in cloud/on-prem environments.
Qualifications:
Exposure to Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or on-prem distributions).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with additional scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Ruby) or tools.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
Prior involvement in DR planning, testing, and post-mortem analysis.
Soft Skills:

Clear and effective communication.
Self-driven and able to work across global teams in fast-paced environments.
Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
