Express Employment Professionals is seeking a seasoned financial executive for a Controller role with a client based in Philadelphia. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape fiscal strategy, oversee grant funding, and manage core financial operations. The Controller will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, helping steer both day-to-day financial activities and long-term planning.
Role Highlights:

• Administer grant reporting and ensure compliance with funding sources (e.g., CSBG, United Way, IRS)
• Prepare and review financial statements for internal and board-level reporting
• Lead budgeting cycles, forecasting initiatives, and financial modeling
• Supervise accounting workflows and maintain robust internal controls
• Manage finance team performance and support HR/payroll processes
• Coordinate audits and ensure full regulatory alignment

Who We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• CPA or CPFO certification is required
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Strong familiarity with nonprofit or public sector financial management
• Skilled in strategic planning, financial systems, and team development
