Job Description:

Structural Engineer - Data Center Projects

(Contract Role)

Location: Remote

Travel: Less than 10%

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to support the design and construction of hyperscale data centers. This role involves guiding projects from master planning through construction, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and providing technical oversight and problem-solving for structural systems across a growing data center fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide structural engineering expertise for site and building design
  • Review and advise on A/E designs, foundation systems, and structural components
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements and design standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, design consultants, and contractors
  • Contribute to structural design guidelines and specifications
  • Review geotechnical and structural reports and calculations
  • Recommend design alternatives to meet project goals

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (Master's and PE license preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical or data center construction
  • Strong understanding of building construction principles
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, IT, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
