Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role is integral to the successful delivery of our projects and requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The Project Coordinator will work directly with project managers and other team members to ensure all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, coordinating with subcontractors, and implementing project standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
2. Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes and monitor project progress.
3. Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
4. Assist in the preparation of project proposals, timeframes, schedule, and budget.
5. Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise, escalating when necessary.
6. Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
7. Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers and facilitate the coordination of multiple teams towards project completion.
8. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
9. Manage and process change orders, invoicing, and other project-related administrative duties.
10. Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

Qualifications:

1. Proven work experience of 1+ years as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in project management software tools, preferably Procore.
3. Thorough understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
5. Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/ project management software.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. A team player with leadership abilities.
9. BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
