Job Details

job summary:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and own the platform product roadmap, aligned with company strategy and platform vision.
  • Understand internal team needs and prioritize investments that improve speed, consistency, and developer productivity.
  • Shape and pitch platform initiatives, articulating the problem, solution, appetite, and context; lead stakeholder alignment before commitment.
  • Validate feasibility with engineering leads before planning work; ensure all initiatives connect to a clear "why" and "why now."
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams, coordinating dependencies and rollout plans with functional teams (UX, SRE, Analytics, etc.).
  • Lead delivery and iteration cycles: run weekly demos, track progress toward value, document learnings, and shape future initiatives.
  • Drive platform adoption through clear enablement strategies, training materials, and self-service documentation.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to scope and deliver scalable, reliable, and well-documented capabilities.
  • Manage risk and technical debt, collaborating with teams to address bottlenecks and support infrastructure evolution.
  • Track platform KPIs and OKRs, including usage, reliability, developer satisfaction, and overall impact on time-to-market.
  • Advocate for internal developer experience, ensuring platforms remove friction and empower product teams.
  • Evaluate third-party solutions versus internal builds to optimize long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Support incident response and post-mortem processes by helping engineering teams address platform-related root causes.
  • Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition
  • This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and enablement-and it's a highly impactful position in our organization. You won't just be managing tools-you'll be shaping the core foundation on which our web products are built, secured, and scaled. This platform is central to how we deliver consistent, performant, and secure web experiences across all of our health plan properties. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders across the org to offer the platform as a product: one that accelerates delivery, abstracts complexity, and elevates quality.
  • What makes this role uniquely rewarding is the breadth of exposure and influence. You'll be embedded in conversations that span content architecture, developer experience, CI/CD, and cross-team governance-offering you the opportunity to design not just solutions, but the systems that power the web ecosystem. You'll have visibility across the full product lifecycle and a direct hand in enabling critical digital initiatives.
  • It's a role for someone who thrives in complexity, is energized by ambiguity, and knows how to move from "what are we trying to do?" to "here's the plan" with confidence. If you're a systems thinker, a persistent problem solver, and a collaborative strategist who enjoys bringing order to chaos and momentum to roadmaps-this will be a great fit.
