Job Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Employment: W2 Only (NO C2C / 1099)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Power BI Developer with hands-on experience across the Microsoft Power Platform to design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions that empower business decision-making. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Query, with a strong foundation in data modeling, DAX, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key business metrics.
  • Build and maintain data models, perform data transformations, and write complex DAX expressions.
  • Integrate and automate workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
  • Develop custom business applications using Power Apps to support operational needs.
  • Connect to various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and user-friendly design in all deliverables.
  • Implement row-level security and manage access controls within Power BI.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training/support to end users.
  • Stay current with Power Platform updates and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools: Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft Teams integrations.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
  • Experience with data integration and transformation from multiple sources.
  • Exposure to governance and security best practices in Power Platform environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Certifications:

  • Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-300, PL-100, PL-400).
