Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Administrator / Application Developer with over 10 years of experience, specializing in the Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will support end-to-end administration, reporting, automation, and compliance for enterprise-scale Power BI deployments. This role is hybrid in Chicago, IL, and involves both platform management and hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Power BI Admin managing platform governance, capacity, and security

  • Oversee license management and onboarding processes

  • Perform incident management, coordinating with internal teams and vendors as needed

  • Monitor active capacities and drive housekeeping initiatives to maintain platform performance

  • Generate and maintain platform usage statistics and executive-level reports

  • Automate key administrative and reporting tasks using Power Platform capabilities

  • Ensure integration/connectivity with other services and data sources

  • Maintain compliance with security policies and enterprise governance standards

  • Manage Databricks and storage integrations as part of data infrastructure

  • Support platform enhancements and provide hands-on development as needed

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with strong focus on Power BI administration and Power Platform

  • Expertise in Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps

  • Hands-on experience in incident management and vendor coordination

  • Strong understanding of capacity management, licensing, and usage monitoring

  • Experience with automation, integration, and connectivity across Microsoft and third-party systems

  • Familiarity with Databricks, storage solutions, and data compliance/security practices

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills
