Due Date: April 30, 5pm EST

Duration: Through June 30, 2024. Multiple POs may be issued to effectuate the whole Contract term. Estimated 1880 hours per year.

Primary Work: Serve as Information Manager for the Department s Data & Analytics (D&A) Office.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Consultant will work on-site at the Bob Martinez Center (BMC), 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee. DEP reserves the right to change this work site to another DEP building within Tallahassee to meet the needs of the Department. DEP will provide a PC/laptop and associated software to meet the services required within this contract. DEP will provide a desk (cubicle) and chair, network account and other applications as required for the position. This will also include standard office supplies such as paper, pens and pencils.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Documents Required for Submission - MUST COMPLETE and Include a total of the three (3) documents

  1. Consultant Resume: professional summary; technical skills; education qualification; work history; roles and responsibilities; tools and technologies, KSA s.
  2. Appendix D: Candidate References & Skills (DEP may conduct reference checks) (See Attached)
  3. Appendix F: Resume Self-Certification Form. Must use the consultant s legal name as it appears on official documents, e.g., Form I-9. (See Attached)

Appendix B: Position Tasks to be performed:

  • Data Discovery and Inventory: Identify, catalog, and classify data assets, including datasets, databases, and metadata.
  • Catalog Metadata Management: Work with data stewards to develop and maintain standardized metadata descriptions for data assets, capturing key attributes such as data source, format, structure, quality, and usage restrictions.
  • Taxonomy Development: Define and implement data classification schemas, taxonomies, and ontologies to organize and categorize data assets according to IT standards, domain-specific topics, themes, and attributes.
  • Data Profiling and Quality Assessment: Conduct data profiling and quality assessment activities to evaluate the completeness, accuracy, and consistency of data assets, identifying data gaps, anomalies, and errors, together with the data stewards and data-source Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
