Job Summary We are seeking an experienced On-Prem SQL Database Administrator to support SQL database upgrades, performance tuning, and infrastructure management. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a large volume of databases, ensuring legacy systems are decommissioned and new environments are built and maintained efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform on-prem to on-prem SQL database upgrades, supporting over 3,000 databases annually. Build and configure new SQL environments based on application team requirements. Install, configure, patch, and maintain SQL Server instances. Conduct performance troubleshooting, backup management, and system configuration. Collaborate with application teams to create run plans and execute migrations. Decommission legacy environments in alignment with project deadlines. Write and execute scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell, making necessary adjustments. Troubleshoot issues that may extend beyond SQL, including network and hardware-related concerns. Monitor system performance and resolve latency or connectivity issues. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. Required Qualifications Proven experience with on-prem SQL databases, including upgrades and migrations. Strong skills in performance troubleshooting, backups, and configuration. Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting. Ability to analyze and resolve issues across infrastructure layers (e.g., network, storage). Experience in managing large-scale SQL environments. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise environments with legacy system decommissioning. Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and diagnostic tools. Education: Bachelors Degree
