; Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled L2/L3 Payments Support Engineer with extensive experience in ACI Base24 and Modular Transaction Switch (MTS) platforms.This role is essential to maintaining the resilience, integrity, and availability of high-volume payment systems, including ACH, Wire, Card Payments, Real-Time Payments (RTP), and Digital Wallets.The ideal candidate will work closely with application support, infrastructure, and payment operations teams, as well as third-party vendors.

; Key Responsibilities

; Level 2 Responsibilities:
Monitor transaction flows (ATM, POS, Online, RTP) and proactively resolve payment disruptions.Manage incidents, service requests, and escalations within defined SLAs.Coordinate with infrastructure teams for patching, capacity planning, and system upgrades.Support change control processes across non-production and production environments.Perform deep-dive analysis on production incidents involving Base24, MTS, or switching components.Review and optimize transaction routing, message parsing (ISO 8583), and settlement interfaces.Debug configuration scripts, interface logs, and source code (if applicable).Drive problem management and post-incident reviews with root cause analysis documentation.Collaborate with vendors for code-level fixes and updates.Support compliance and security initiatives including PCI-DSS, fraud alerts, and audits.

; Level 3 Responsibilities:
Conduct advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues.Lead optimization efforts for transaction routing and message handling.Provide technical expertise in debugging and system configuration.Oversee root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.Act as a liaison with ACI and other third-party vendors for escalated issues.Contribute to compliance, audit readiness, and security-related tasks.

; Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in payments support, including L2/L3 roles in enterprise banking environments.Hands-on experience with ACI Base24 Classic and UP Framework.Expertise in Modular Transaction Switch (MTS).Strong understanding of ISO 8583, XML, and JSON payment message formats.Experience with card processing systems (debit/credit, EMV, tokenization).Familiarity with ACH, Wire, and RTP payment flows.Proficiency in middleware and interfaces (e.g., MQ, APIs, TCP/IP).Unix/Linux administration skills.Scripting experience in Shell and/or PERL.Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, ELK, and Control-M.

Experience working in regulated financial environments.Exposure to agile and DevOps methodologies.
