Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in crafting and managing innovative data solutions within our organization. Based in Lewisville, Texas, this role focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to design, optimize, and maintain data systems that support business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, governance, and seamless integration across platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive data architecture strategies that align with business needs and objectives.
Design and maintain data integration solutions using advanced cloud platforms, ensuring secure and efficient data flow.
Optimize database structures and data models to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into actionable technical plans.
Create logical and physical data models to support enterprise data warehousing initiatives.
Establish and enforce standards for data governance, ensuring data quality, security, and consistency.
Monitor and optimize data systems to identify potential issues and enhance reliability.
Integrate new technologies into existing frameworks to drive innovation and improve functionality.
Support IT teams in implementing robust data backup and recovery procedures.
Stay updated on industry trends, evaluating and adopting modern tools and technologies to enhance data architecture.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, methodologies, and practices.
Proficiency in Azure services, including Data Factory, Data Lakes, and Databricks.
Strong expertise in SQL databases, database optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS for efficient data transformation processes.
Ability to manage data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex data challenges.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in a data engineering or architecture role, with a proven track record of success.
