Role :: Security engineer (Windows/Office 365 Security)
Work: Trenton NJ (Hybrid)
Type: Contract
Candidate with strong consulting / advisory experience to document environment, make best practice recommendations, advise Director how to best utilize existing tools. In addition focus will be on monitoring the environment and DLP.
Note: Position is Hybrid. Client needs a local candidate that can work on-prem when required. Local candidates are needed.
Must have Excellent communication (verbal and written) and have experience giving presentations to management.
Contactor will review all current security settings in M365 and Azure. They will work with my team to document environment, make best practice recommendations, and advise Director how to best utilize existing tools. We will have a focus on monitoring the environment and DLP as well. The role will be hands on, but with a strong consulting/advisory component. The candidate must have experience. We are looking for a professional to review our systems and interact with, not someone to offload task-oriented work or trouble tickets.
Minimum of 5 years with each, preferably more:
- Security assessments and best practices on Azure Office 365 Platforms
- Security Assessments on Windows 11 desktops environment
- Office 365 Data Loss Protection
- Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection
- Remote desktop patch monitoring and reporting
- Remote desktop patching
- Microsoft Azure Security best practices
- Microsoft Cloud monitoring and logging
- Server patch maintenance
Need Familiarity with 3rdparty reporting tools such as Nagios, Tenable, Etc.
Hands on Microsoft Cloud and on prem security administration
Nice to have:
Microsoft GCC (Government Cloud) experience
SharePoint Security assessments
Mandiant Managed Defense
Any Microsoft Security certs are a plus
Additional:
Good communication skills, will need to interact with IT management, IT Systems team, vendor support, and possibly some end users.
