Job Title: AV Infra Engineer
Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660
Duration: Long Term
AV/VTC project coordination and end-user technical support.
POSITION SUMMARY: AV Project Engineer who understands AV (Audio/Visual) and VTC (Video Teleconference) business.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBLITIES may include, but are not limited to, the following:
60% 1. Performs varied tasks of moderate complexity requiring the application of standard procedures and criteria. Responsible for installation and troubleshooting problems of AV/VTC system/network. Commission AV/VTC project on/off site. Demonstrates a degree of experience managing vendor/carrier on planning AV/VTC project, selecting AV equipment and customer support.
40% 2. Takes responsibility of work order requests by clients and completes tasks with quality in mind all the time and delivers results through quick action.
Require qualifications :
Education: 4-year college degree Field Of Study: Electronics or Telecommunications
Minimum of 5 years of AV/VTC industry.
Understanding concept of data networking.
Layer 1 : understand types of cables.
Layer 2 & 3 : understand Access List, VLAN, packet, routing and switching.
Understanding concept of AV networking.
Layer 1 : understand type of cables.
Layer 2 & 3 : understand Access List, Voice VLAN, AV signal, voice packet and media and call routing.
Work with various AV integrators to carry out daily tasks.
Able to make decision on type AV equipment need for the business and able to config and deploy equipment as needed.
Standard AV meeting operation and escalation procedures.
Strong knowledge of AV signaling, protocols, SIP, analog voice circuits and how to troubleshoot each.
Ethernet, IP troubleshooting and testing using Fluke test equipment.
Experience in Microsoft Excel documents
Must have a good understanding IP Networking, VOIP, TDM technology, and AV third-party equipment.
Must be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively.
Must have effective interpersonal skills to interact successfully with customers, management and team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
Must be able to prioritize and re-prioritize as needed in a fast-paced working environment, especially when dealing with time sensitive issues and mandated deadlines.
Must be analytical and have proven problem solving abilities.
Knowledge of billing and various practices associated with billing.

Computer Skills: Computer skills at level to understand and use MS Word, Excel, PPT, Internet.
