This role focuses on critical operations within the facility that demand applied logic, strategic direction, and meticulous attention to detail, including regulatory compliance initiatives and operational assessments. While limited engineering design work is performed, the position regularly involves evaluating contracted designs to ensure quality and that the operational needs are being met.

The ideal candidate will possess a versatile skill set encompassing Project Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, Change Management, Healthcare Regulatory Codes & Standards, Building Infrastructure Systems and strong Communications abilities (both written and verbal, including public speaking).

A key component of this position is the ability to champion reliability centered maintenance and provide intermediate-level data analytics to verify improvements in infrastructure performance resulting from maintenance activities. The Engineering Specialist contributes valuable input into maintenance plans for specialized infrastructure equipment and routinely assesses existing infrastructure while collaborating with other internal engineering resources to evaluate system performance and recommend enhancements. This position requires the ability to document complex system information through the creation of technical documentation such as air flow diagrams, P&ID's (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and utility flow diagrams.

The Engineering Specialist provides oversight and direction for various vendors that are engaged with maintaining the building, grounds, and infrastructure systems & equipment and operates in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working closely with customers in a high demand workflow environment.
