Description

SAIC is hiring a Field Systems Engineer with a Secret clearance to join our IMDC2 team in Arlington, VA. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced counter unmanned aircraft system (cUAS) Field Systems Engineer (FSE). This role involves providing onsite maintenance, vendor support, future capabilities planning, system updates, and system/software troubleshooting and repair.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide daily operation reports of the system as required by the customer.
  • Provide FSE support as requested by the customer.
  • Understand and apply mission planning concepts.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
  • Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces, including setup and teardown procedures.
  • Manage GFE inventory pertaining the cUAS system.
  • Update system and program documentation as required by the customer.
  • Work independently, identifying and analyzing important factors and conditions to anticipate customer needs.
  • Decide on the appropriate course of action based on analyses of subjects and issues related to assignments.
  • Collaborate with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate system performance.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years relevant experience; Master's degree and three (3) or more years of experience.
  • 10 additional years' experience can be accepted in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle).

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Secret clearance required to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Rail Vehicle Engineering.
  • Systems Engineering.
  • Pulsed Power Systems.
  • RF sources.
  • System Integration and Testing.
  • Rapid Prototyping.
  • CNC Machining.
  • Data Analysis.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in cUAS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
