RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a full-time Signal Integrity Engineer to support our enterprise technology client in Austin, TX.
Summary:
Our client is hiring a Signal Integrity Engineer to design and validate robust SI solutions for hardware products. This role spans all phases of design, from net rule generation and PCB layout reviews to system bring-up, test and validation, in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
About the Team:
This world-class development team pioneers industry-leading hardware for Power Systems servers, including Storage, Quantum, AI, and Research systems. Engineers participate in all aspects of the hardware development process from the processor module, system architecture, schematic capture, circuit design, physical layout, power optimization, signal integrity, and mechanical and thermal engineering design as well as product engineering. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop signal integrity solutions including net rules, component placement, and PCB cross-section definition
* Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and power engineers on system architecture and SI requirements
* Ensure SI compliance through component selection and milestone reviews
* Participate in system bring-up, defect resolution, and early characterization
* Provide sustaining engineering support throughout the product lifecycle
* Continuously expand technical knowledge through education and professional engagement
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
* 5+ years of experience in Signal Integrity Engineering
* 2+ years of experience with Cadence Allegro Design Entry and PCB Editor
* Familiarity with PCIe, DDR, USB, I2C bus technologies
* Deep understanding of SI practices including impedance control, signal attenuation, and crosstalk prevention
* Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators
Preferred Requirements:
* 10 years of experience in Signal Integrity Engineering
* 5 years of experience with Cadence Design Systems, especially Constraint Manager
* Foundational knowledge in Card Engineering, Physical Layout, Power Engineering, Power Integrity, and EMC
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
