Description
If you have a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users, Robert Half has the Desktop Support Technician role for you. This is a Manufacturing industry job. You might thrive in this position if you are a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst role is a permanent opportunity based in the Mentor, Ohio, area.
Your responsibilities
- Administer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Offer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Organize hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Meet regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Solve computer problems, and implement appropriate action/solutions
- Support, examine, and repair computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Create records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Requirements
- 2+ years of desktop support or other related experience
- Ability to quickly write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- Microsoft Office 365 experience desired
- Experience with DHCP DNS
- Windows OS experience preferred
- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory
- Proficiency in Active Directory
