Business Analyst - Retail C&I Operations
About the Role:
The GPTA Retail team is searching for a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join our team. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Retail Operations. Your expertise retail operations and deep understanding of the C&I domain will be instrumental in driving process improvements and optimizing our retail operations.
Responsibilities:

• Business Process Analysis:
  
  
  
  • Heavy analytical skills to engage and extract requirements from stakeholders at all levels
  
  
  • Partner with C&I Retail Operations stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and analyze business processes related to our 3^rd party billing system (Customized Energy Solutions - CES) and other relevant systems
  
  
  • Collaborate with IT teams to configure features in 3^rd party billing system to meet evolving business needs and optimize customer experience
  
  
  • Document and map "as-is" business processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
  
  
  • Conduct gap analysis between current state and desired future state, defining business requirements for process optimization
  
  
  
  


• Project Management & Communication:
  
  
  
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders, including IT, developers, and C&I Retail Operations teams, to ensure project success
  
  
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather business requirements, communicate project progress, and manage expectations
  
  
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including business requirements documents, user stories, and test plans
  
  
  
  


• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  
  
  
  • Analyze data from 3^rd party billing system CES (Customized Energy Solutions) and other sources to gain insights into C&I Retail Operations performance
  
  
  • Ability to create and execute SQL queries to analyze a multitude of data from many sources
  
  
  • Document the data flow, data gaps, and recommend governance structure for the operations business
  
  
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for process improvement and business decision-making
  
  
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions
  
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a proven track record of success


• In-depth knowledge of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Retail Operations and related business processes, especially from a billing aspect


• Strong understanding of business process modeling and analysis techniques (e.g., BPMN)


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication (written and oral), collaboration, and interpersonal skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in an extremely fast-paced environment


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to Haves:

• Extensive experience with Customized Energy Solutions (CES) and its functionalities


• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)


• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)


• Experience with user experience (UX) design principles


• Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification
