Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Engineering team is looking for mechanical design engineers who are ready to work on the fastest growing engine in Aviation history, LEAP. The LEAP engine is a culmination of cutting-edge technology, world-class reliability and unparalleled performance, and is the engine of choice to power the Airbus A320neo, the Boeing 737 MAX, and the COMAC C919.
LEAP's 15% reduction in fuel burn (over prior generation of narrowbody applications) is moving the needle on sustainability today and proving out the next generation of sustainable technologies like ceramic composites, advanced turbine cooling, and additive manufacturing.
Our LEAP engine incorporates some of GE's latest technological innovations which are challenging our engineers to test the limits of what is possible and define non-traditional design solutions that keep GE Aerospace at the forefront of innovation.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be part of the LEAP Engineering Design Team in Cincinnati, OH, focused on the LEAP Turbine Center Frame components. They will build technical expertise by working turbomachinery design and product improvement activities that ultimately power our customers, lift people up and bring them home safely.
