The client is seeking:

An experienced financial services contractor to lead the business analysis efforts in support of the Investment Management activities of the agency. The contractor will have experience configuring, connecting, enhancing, and implementing a main platform for portfolio management, trading, compliance, and operations, and finance - supporting a variety of investment instruments.

The contractor s role will be to focus on implementation, integration, and process improvement efforts across the End-to-End process. Functionally, pre and post trade processing, position management and performance, finance, and other areas of support.

The contractor requires the following skills, and background:

  • Must have at least 5 years experience in business analyst roles at investment management organizations.
  • Experience with Public Markets strongly desired
  • Substantial knowledge of the end-to-end investment operations lifecycle across asset classes, including the processes, workflows, and investment platforms/systems used to support the investment business.
  • Experience of post Trade Processing in SimCorp Dimension would be a significant plus.
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to gather, draft, and validate business requirements and workflows, and assist with the functional design of solutions.
  • Develop, execute, and document user test plans and organize and oversee end-user testing and acceptance.
  • In partnership with technology, end users, and other stakeholders, manage and execute functional testing of system enhancements/changes resulting from the work effort.
  • Develop, and/ or assist in the development, of end-user training materials and coordinate / conduct user training.
  • Pro-active communication to project team, stakeholders, senior management, and the wider organization. Managing expectations is key.
  • Escalate issues and risks accordingly and help drive their resolution providing input as needed
  • Prepare well-structured materials and audience appropriate messaging. The Contractor would also benefit from the following skills and background:
  • Experience with other Portfolio Management/ Risk Management systems:

e.g., Blackrock Aladdin, FactSet, MSCI.

  • Experience with Order/ Execution Management systems:

e.g., Charles River, Flex ONE, etc.

  • Experience with Enterprise Management systems for Finance & HR:

e.g., Workday, SAP, etc.
