About the Role:
Zions Bancorporation is seeking a motivated and curious Network & Application Delivery Intern to join our Infrastructure Team. This internship offers hands-on experience in both network operations and application delivery, supporting critical systems across our enterprise. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to monitor, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure and application delivery platforms, including F5 technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with configuring and installing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers).
  • Support day-to-day operations and maintenance of network infrastructure and data center environments.
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and configuration issues across network and application delivery systems.
  • Participate in monitoring system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
  • Learn and contribute to F5 Application Delivery Controller configurations (LTM, APM, ASM, GTM, AFM).
  • Collaborate with IT teams to understand business needs and help design solutions.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Contribute to automation efforts and process improvements.
  • Participate in technical support activities related to SSL, VPN, DNS, and application security.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS).
  • Familiarity with network hardware and software (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Interest in learning F5 technologies and application delivery principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
