Job Description

ECS is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work in our Stafford, VA office
  • Design, build, and maintain pipelines for automated software delivery, testing, and deployment
  • Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks, system updates, deployments, and rollbacks
  • Monitor application performance, system health, and user experience using logging and application performance monitoring tools
  • Deployment and release management
  • Troubleshooting and support deployed instances
  • Work closely with developers and testers to reduce bottlenecks and improve collaboration across the program
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks. integrate testing processes with CI/CD pipelines


Required Skills

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container orchestration tools
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Shell)
  • Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools
  • Understanding of networking, load balancing, and firewalls
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills


Desired Skills

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform/Ansible
  • Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures
  • Exposure to Agile and DevSecOps practices
