Vaco has an exciting IT Director opportunity available with our industry leading client in the greater Cincinnati area.
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
We’re looking for someone who can work on-site full time to help manage and build the team.
The ideal candidate will bring strong IT leadership experience, including building an IT department from the ground up, a background in SAP ERP, and solid project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and execute the IT strategy, vision, and roadmap that supports the business strategy and delivers value to stakeholders.
* Establish and direct the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the information technology department.
* Manage partnerships, serving as the main liaison between our company and our external partners, ensuring quality service levels, security, and cost effectiveness.
* Partner with leadership and external IT vendor to determine the organization's long-term systems needs and any hardware acquisitions needed to accomplish the organization's business objectives.
* Provide technical guidance on high-priority projects and orient the company to trends in the information technology industry.
* Manage and optimize the IT budget, resources, and performance metrics.
* Partner with our IT vendor to ensure the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of the IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and data.
* Support the digital transformation and innovation initiatives of the company.
* Evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness of the company.
* Oversee the strategy, configuration, and ongoing management of the company's ERP system (SAP) to ensure alignment with business operations.
* Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and best practices that comply with industry regulations and best practices.
* Manage and develop a team of IT professionals and vendors, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
* Communicate and collaborate with senior management, business units, and external partners on IT-related matters.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field or related experience.
* At least 7 years of experience in IT leadership roles in the industrial construction industry, manufacturing, or a similar sector.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and innovation skills.
* Ability to define corporate vision and strategy, establish company direction and focus, and execute high-impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals.
* Strong, hands on experience managing SAP projects is required.
* Experience with assessing, onboarding and integrating company acquisitions.
