The Internet Technologies QE & Ops team is seeking two experienced and passionate software quality managers to lead separate teams. - The Networking Frameworks and Sharing Quality team designs and engineers many of the networking API's of iOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS and supports features like AirDrop, Continuity and Sharing. - The Safari and WebKit team designs and builds the Safari web browser and WebKit rendering engine for iOS, macOS, and visionOS and supports features like Passwords, Autofill and App Clips. We're looking for critical thinkers to play a key role qualifying Apple's software releases and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. We are in need of a leader who is comfortable working in an exciting environment with rapidly changing priorities, and someone creative and inspired to invent new ways to help build better products. Description You will be leading a team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for planning, crafting, maintaining, and executing test cases. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to develop requirements, identify appropriate testing implementation processes and methodologies, and drive improvements through strong analytical and critical thinking. Your vision will be essential in identifying enhancements and instrumentation to increase team efficiency and productivity. Networking Frameworks - This team focuses on the qualification of Network framework, AirDrop, Continuity, and Sharing features. Safari/WebKit - This team focuses on the qualification of Safari, WebKit, Passwords, and App Clips.

Responsibilities
  • Drive product quality and API stability.
  • Grow and develop members of the QE Team.
  • Implement test strategies for qualifying new features.
  • Work cross functionally across hardware and software teams to develop new features and products.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Manual and automation planning, test writing, execution, and triage for projects on multiple platforms.
  • Ability to achieve results through people and across an organization, forming relationships, collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Able to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience developing in Python, Java, Swift or C/C++ or Objective-C, familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages
  • Working experience using Continuous Integration concepts and streamlined delivery of code.
  • Proven track record demonstrating the ability to fulfill project results on time.
  • Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge.
  • Use of quality metrics to drive team goals.
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Python, Swift, Objective C, Splunk.
  • Experience with peer to peer or client/server networking.
  • 1-2 years experience leading projects or leading a quality testing team including planning and leading cross functional features, API testing and UI automation.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
