Job Details
Workday PeopleSoft Developer:
URI is seeking an experienced remote PeopleSoft Developer to provide development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support for URI s PeopleSoft environments. The PeopleSoft Developer will support one or more of the following modules: Human Resources (HR), Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise with PeopleTools and the full suite of underlying PeopleSoft technologies, along with strong customer support skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft applications for HR, Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions.
- Build, modify, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft components using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, SQR, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, BI Publisher, and related technologies.
- Support and execute PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and system migrations (including PALMA upgrades).
- Work closely with URI business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer support.
- Analyze and optimize business processes through technical solutions, customizations, and enhancements.
- Participate in unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain thorough technical documentation for all development activities.
- Collaborate effectively with functional and technical staff across URI.
- Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with integrations, data conversions, and reporting as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on PeopleSoft development experience in at least one major area: HR, Finance, Payroll, or Campus Solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, SQR, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, BI Publisher, and SQL.
- Experience supporting PeopleTools upgrades, patching, and system migrations (including PALMA upgrades).
- Excellent customer support, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong team orientation and ability to work independently or collaboratively as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple PeopleSoft modules or environments.
- Prior experience with PeopleSoft/Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with change management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft integrations, data conversions, and reporting.
